Libby's Luxury Digs

Libby Llop, the Long Distance Endurance rider friend of mine, invited us to stay in her new horse trailer. We were very grateful for the opportunity to stay on the fairgrounds. In years past we stayed at the Strawberry Inn with Miss Jane, who has since moved to a retirement community. I miss her historic inn, but staying on site has many advantages. We ate at the Shepherd's Feast Dinner and Breakfast and were able to attend the annual Spin-In Saturday night. Libby's trailer has a queen size loft bed, pull out sofa, stove, shower, microwave and oven. The A/C was wonderful. Kim and I were very grateful for Libby's kind hospitality. We were able to share horse, sheep and rabbit stories (Kim is a bunnywoman). Libby is nationally ranked on her Arab mare, Fly So Free, in the 100 mile endurance races. She is running a 50 mile this week on Mable Syrup. I'm in awe of Libby who, when she is not racing through forests and over hill and dale, runs a big farm with 300 head of sheep and 30 horses on her 500 acres near Rochester. She is "living a dream."
