Fleece on Earth

I love raw fleeces. This black Bluefaced Leicester fleece is very lovely, but has sunburned tips. Black fleeces need coats even more than white fleeces, as the tips burn very easily. I love to sit outside on a beautiful day and pick fleeces, with my lovely sheep grazing on the hill. I find it very relaxing. Luckily, I have plenty of fleeces to play with.

So what are you going to do with the tips? Cut them off?

Sometimes I cut the tips off, but this time I put the whole fleece in two big pots and dyed it with "Spruce" by Jacquard. Haven't washed it yet but it looks lovely.

Looking forward to seeing pix of the spruce dyed fleece.
