Kim arrived late Friday night and we had the home fires burning, literally, and in spite of the rain. We managed to sit by the lovely flames for a while before being chased inside by another downpour. Kim, Darryl, Lindsay and Jared slept in the Sheep Show trailer, snug as bugs in a rug. After a hearty breakfast we set out for the Madison County Fair and spent the day having so much fun we didn't know what to do with ourselves. Black skies and torrential downpours didn't dampen our spirits. Lindsay and Luke paired off as well as Hannah and Jared. The evening found us stacking hay and putting away a dinner of farmhouse fare. Another campfire was rained out but not before we had a chance to stare into the flames and ruminate over our lovely day.
