After a good night's sleep I made a BIG breakfast for the gang. The campers came down from the upper field and Sherry came out of the trailer to chow down. After breakfast we sat around the smoldering fire from last night. Today was one of the best weather days of the year so we packed up a picnic lunch and set off for the pond. It was positively sublime. Young Finn followed Holly into the pond and had the first swim of his young life, much to the joy of his adoring dog-parents, Andrew and Mia. Finn truly enjoyed his farm adventure, and was reacquainted with some sheep friends. After our pond fun Andrew, AJ and Mia piled in the car to return to civilization. Andrew is flying out to Florida tomorrow and AJ is getting ready to report to US Army Chaplain school in South Carolina. Mia is working at the hospital, and Matt has the second week of Weatherization Boot Camp beginning tomorrow. Hannah, Luke and I are home running the farm. Life goes on...
