Mia surprised us with a visit yesterday. It's heaven when she comes. We headed for the pond even though the sky was cloudy and the air cool. It makes everybody stay in the water once they are in. I was the photographer and towel handler. We came back down the hill and built a fire to snuggle around. Luke wanted to have a Harry Potter Slumber Party. I only have an early HP movie, the Sorcerer's Stone one. It was strange seeing the characters as little Hogwarts students after watching them as senior wizards the other day, kissing girls with hormones raging. We piled the coffee table with hot chocolates, popcorn, ice cream, candies, cookies and whatever slumber party goodies we could find. Omi and Auntie Mia gave up after our heads were nodding and went to bed. The DVD was still on when I got up. Matt is off to Indianapolis to attend the Dept. of Energy annual conference. His entourage is staying at the Hyatt Regency. Not bad. My last words to him were Have Fun!! His workshops are full up. I'm thankful he's travelling because I want to go to San Jose again this year. Oh, those northern California beaches with the otters and kelp beds! Whales and dolphins! Annie's biscotti! Paradise!
