Okay, so it can't all be fun and laughs. Barb Taylor was all booked for riding lessons today so we decided to make a wrap around skirt. We used Hannah's favorite skirt and made a pattern out of paper bags. Hannah enjoyed pinning the pattern on the fabric and cutting it out...but when time came to use the sewing machine she was not enthusiastic. We practiced sewing straight lines on scraps so she didn't have to worry about making mistakes. I could see I was losing her when she kept going under the table to play with the baby kittens (an understandable distraction.) We'll try sewing again next year!
