I wondered why she was sitting in that nest box so much! When I went in the chicken room to feed them this morning there they were...three cute little baby chicks. Mom must still have more underneath because she is not moving. She will wait another day or two, then, if no more hatch she will take them all down to the floor to start teaching them how to forage for food. She won't sacrifice the living for the not yet born. This is the mother of the two teenagers, who are now starting to look like little chickens. Can't tell if they are roosters yet. That may upset the apple cart. Steve is coming today to build the outside chicken yard so everybody can go out and play!
