Hannah, Nathan and I went for a walk on this dark, rainy afternoon. The temp dropped to 50 F. and the cool, wet, wind whipped our faces. It was wonderful. We decided to hike over to the lower pond in back of the barn, under the ridge. Along the way we picked little apple branches for the bunnies to munch on. Hannah loves lichen and we found rocks covered with it. The back pond is surrounded with beautiful ferns and little purple flowers. We had to bushwhack our way around, as the goaties have not eaten their way to the pond yet. When they do, they will have a feast. Bodie got to retrieve his tennis ball in two ponds today, and we had a lovely nature walk.

What a beautiful place! I'm glad we got to see it before the goats get it eaten down.
