Settling In

The new sheep are settling in nicely. The big horned ram - I need a cool name for him - is breeding one of the ewes. That amazing bulk (300 pounds we think) effortlessly lifts himself up onto the back of one of the ewes and eases back down. I stood in awe as he did this three times to the same ewe within 5 minutes. Five months from now a little one (or two) should slide out. Dr. Rachel says these big sheep usually have no problem lambing. Now he stands by her so the other ram can't get in and do his thing with the ewe. Protecting his DNA. I have to get them wormed this weekend. I hope Matt is up for this.

Oh oh,

Looks like you've got yourself a handsome horny big dude there! Bet those new little ones will be gorgeous! Better start making a new list of possible tames. How about "Horatio" for the fine gent? Just a thought ......
