The wood stove is working fine, and heats the whole apartment. Matt got the cap on and hopefully we won't have the downdrafts we experienced before he put the extra chimney sections on. This is a cheap Tractor Supply stove, and it only has two heat levels - low or blast furnace. It does have a nice big window and a fan to blow the heat around. I love the smell of a fire and there's something about wood fire heat. I open the door to the apt. after spending time in the cold barn, and that blast of heat is soooo nice. I found a big box of Georgia fat wood from LL Bean on the porch tonight - a gift from Annie and Eric! Fat wood is fantastic for starting fires, just a stick or two and there's my fire. Thanks, Annie! What a perfect gift!
