Plowshares Peace Festival

Maggie's Farm will be on the road again, but this time not too far away. This Saturday and Sunday, December 4th and 5th, the Syracuse Peace Council is hosting it's annual Craftsfair and Peace Festival at the Nottingham High School in Syracuse. Plowshares is Central New York's premier multi-cultural craftsfair, celebrating a world where people enjoy their work and have control over it. It is a major fundraiser for the Syracuse Peace Council. You'll have 120 local craftspeople to check out along with many community service groups represented at Plowshares. It feels like a joyous hippie love-fest with all kinds of entertainment including belly dancing, rock bands and bluegrass. Hours are 10-5 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday. When I do a show I like my participation to support a cause, and the Syracuse Peace Council is a good one. I'll have a new crop of Bundaflicka Totes, Shepherd's Friend Hand Creme to get you paws through the winter and lots of fragrant herbal soap that makes a fabulous holiday gift for teachers, friends and family. See you at the fair...
