Christmas Morning 2008

What is Christmas morning without children? So fortunate to be here, sharing the joy with my children and grandchildren. Mia was back on the ward, bringing Christmas cheer to patients with her dazzling smile and healing hands. I can just imagine those cute little feet going back and forth among her beds with her long elegant fingers, stroking and patting the lonely and sick. I'm so lucky...meantime we were deep in the throes of lovely, handmade things and some more techno-gifts that kids want these days. Coffee with Annie's biscotti were plentiful, along with three kinds of homemade jam from fruit Hannah and Luke pick up around the neighborhood - grapefruit, persimmons and oranges. People in Ca. take fruit for granted, but not this family.
