Good News

Matt has landed a job as Director of Training for the NY State Weatherization Board (or something like that). He will train contractors hired by NY State to weatherize low-income housing for folks that are receiving state aid for their heat. He survived two lengthy interviews and had to teach a power point on carbon monoxide using slides they sent him. He will have an office, dress nicely, do no heavy lifting and always be warm and dry - all new to him after 32 years in the construction business. The pay is decent and includes bennies - also a first for him. Considering this is upstate New York and a lousy economy we are extremely grateful. Matt will have to travel all over the state doing training, but mileage is included, and a state vehicle. He says a night in a motel with a book and no barn chores just might not be so bad once in a while. Maggie is very relieved and pleased.
