Allan, our CTE science teacher, is also a hand bag maker. His company is Smart Duck Bags located in Syracuse. Allan makes terrific tapestry totes of all sizes with lots of zippers and has a nifty studio with all kinds of commercial sewing equipment, quite unlike my humble farmhouse operation with a 100 year old Singer. I'm very impressed with his operation and admire his stamina. It takes a lot of time and energy to turn out our bags, with whatever tools you have to work with.
