Sheep on Grass
The weather has been spectacularly lovely the last couple of days. Frost overnight, then sunny and warm during the day. The sheep are ravenous for the green grass. I let them out to graze around dinnertime and oh, do they chow down. Renata and Regina, the latest and loveliest ewe lambs, are enjoying the juicy sweet grass. Their mom is not exactly an attentive mother. She runs off and leaves the girls to fend for themselves. Renata and Regina have mastered baaaing for mom between mouthfuls of grass. I love their elegant, long legs and long bodies, a typical Bluefaced Leicester shape.
