The goat shearing continues, whenever I can grab a victim. I have two willing helpers so why not. I can shear goats much easier than sheep with my Fiskars. I caught Manny, who has a horn that grew back crooked after being broken off in a fight as a young goat. He is two years old and very spunky, but Luke, my resident cowboy, showed him who is boss. Later I caught a little doe kid who gave me the softest, silkiest mohair a spinner could ask for. With this awful heat and humidity I was glad to get the fiber off both of them.
