Here We Go

Nurse Mia is here to take over the Wacky Ward that is Maggie's Farm, the truck is being loaded, petting and scratching of doggies and kiddies and we are on our way. Pray nothing major happens while we are gone. I squeezed out another bag last night in the wee hours and sewed buttons and handles on two others. Every bag is a potential week of cat and dog feed. That's the way it is these days...it all goes to the Farm in one way or another. Very good news came through last night. My dear friend, Jan, from NJ just closed the deal on the land across the road that was part of my farm for almost two hundred years. I was terrified it would be purchased by a trailer park entrepreneur or a retired couple with a dozen grandkids on quads. Jan and Dave will farm for hay and take care of the Founding Farmers who rest on a gentle rise in the middle of the field by the creek. They've designed a gorgeous home that lays gently on the land, tucked away down by the meandering stream. Best of all, I will have a friend to wave to across the field (more like waving the Margarita bottle and two glasses!)
