Hannah's CAP Unit

Hannah continues her Civil Air Patrol Annual Encampment in Texas. Civil Air Patrol was formed in New Jersey during WWII to watch for Nazi submarines patrolling off the shore. Yes, the subs were there. Captured films of the board walk amusements proved it. Now Civil Air Patrol focuses on search and rescue missions all over the country. Cadets learn survival skills plus all kinds of military and humanitarian mission training. They are also taught to fly airplanes and earn a pilot's license. How convenient that her Daddy has an airplane for her to fly. I'm so proud of Hannah, the former couch potato who wore chiffon dresses and slept on lavender silken sheets. I can't wait to hear all about CAP camp when she comes to the farm next week.
