"Mrs. Alexander, why are your shoes so shiny?" I hear this often from my students. Guess what? Shiny shoes are much easier to clean off when somebody's paint comes flying off their enthusiastic brushes onto my shoes when I'm standing next to them. Not a problem - it's part of the job. I love painting with the kids. It's my favorite thing we do.
