We surprised the entire flock on the way up to the pond this afternoon. The rain abated and we thought we would get our pond walk in before dinner and chores. It was hot and steamy, and I almost turned back but thought I would like the doggies to get a swim to cool off. As we climbed the hill one sheep appeared, and then they were all there. Reba is very good at crouching a bit and slinking up to them. This is all the sheep need to make tracks back to the lush lower hillside were clover and new grass awaits them. I'm sure they will sneak back up when they can. I'm considering keeping them in and feeding them hay until I can get the second cut in. I don't know.
