I picked up a piece of cardboard and this little snake was hiding underneath, curled up and trying to keep warm. It scurried away into the cold grass with the doggies chasing after it. I got them inside but hope the kitties didn't see the baby. It's not a garter snake, and I don't recognize the markings. This is the first snake I've seen here in two years. I think the cats eat the hatchlings and keep the population down. I love all wild things. Hope it got away.

i can't believe that you posted this when i am supposed to farmsit soon!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now i have to buy those fly fishing boots that go up to my hips!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
