Yes, I'm drying wool outside, on December 31. I'm not saying it got completely dry, but it's halfway there. The kitties kept trying to bed down on the wool spread out on the drying rack. Don't blame them..it's very soft.
Dear Maggie: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Your blog continues to be the most relaxing escape from the grime of urban life that I have. Not that your life is easy but at least it follows a certain path that you have set. Here in the city, it seems that each day is dependent on the moods and actions of thousands of people that one interacts with within a single day. I enjoyed reading about your new Ford 8N. I had been interested in buying a restored 8N or a Farmall a few years back but then I read about how tractors sometimes flip over if you don't know what you're doing - and being that my farm experience comes mostly from this blog, I figured I should invest in something different. I have to catch up on more of your entries but the things you do, like the bacon you brought into school, are just such "All American" good things to do. How can anyone not wish you, Matt and your extended family just the best wishes for the new year. What a great cast of characters live on this blog and in your life. I have said this before but let me say it again - what a blessing it is for all of us that such an interesting and good woman was given the ability to write so well. Thank you Lord for getting this so right! -Dan

It seems pretty odd to see the sheep outside but I bet they enjoyed it immensely.
