I hate the stuff. It's evil. My farm is covered with old barbed wire that I have to remove. There's no easy way to do it. It has to be wound up and discarded, a nasty job. I can't believe it is still on the market. Who would use such a hideous fence with so much else available? Barbed wire does not keep sheep, goats, dogs, or varmints out or in. It works for cows, and horses I guess, but who would want an ugly scar on their animal from those sharp spikes? I saw a spool at the feed store the other day and shuddered.
