It's time to get the hay in. July has the heat and the sun. With luck, the hay does not get rained on before it is baled and stored away for winter. The drought in the South has been dreadful for farmers there. I heard that hay is $20 a bale in Maryland. That would push many farmers out of business, then where do the animals go? To the unmentionable place, in all likelihood. We will try not to think about that right now, because here, in lush, green Central New York the hay is plentiful.
