Safe At Home on the Farm

What a horrible, devastating day. All those people who only wanted to go to school and make something of their lives. Here we worried so much about our baby girl Mia going to nursing school in downtown Newark, New Jersey - and look what happened in rural Virginia. Home is the only safe place. For five years I worked in a big high school where kids carried in large bags, never checked, all the time. I stepped over them in the aisles daily, and sometimes wondered what was inside. We are so vulnerable in this society that reveres guns and zealously protects the right to carry them. I don't have a gun on this farm, and don't want one. They bring misery down on everyone's heads.
