French Toast



Hannah got me started on cooking up a buttery kitty-concoction which Jan describes as "French Toast." That's exactly what it is, slices of bread soaked with melted butter, eggs, and milk. It gets some fat on the cats for the coming winter and is much more wholesome than bagged cat food. Goodness knows what kind of yucky stuff is in there, and it costs a fortune. Pavarotti, my head-rooster in charge, tries to rough it off the kitties whenever possible. I lured him away with a handful of dried cat food.
